Elf El?

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 24, 2009, 10:49 AM

Hands like secrets are the hardest things to keep from you.

News

Does anyone know what the current market for Elf Els are? I know the market is pretty bleh lately but they're still a limited mold so I dunno if they have retained their value. Has anyone seen one for sale recently? I doubt it :/

I really need to not stay away for so long, I have so many deviations to go through now and I almost feel bad favoriting them so late but meh, I still do it :/ I'm going through everything right now and for everyone that's favorited or started watching me recently I really appreciate it and I plan on being around a bit more, though work refuses to stop being so ridiculously busy @_@

If I never thought I'd fall like the rain, I do now.

News

First of all I do want to say that I have no intention on leaving this account or stopping my photography altogether and I don't like that I haven't updated for a while, I really just need to kick myself in the butt and do it. I also want to thank anyone that's watched me in the past few months, I appreciate it more than you know 8D

My bit of an hiatus has nothing to do with doll issues though, I love them just as much as ever I just don't have enough hours in my days to do everything I want and DA has taken a backseat to the rest of it. I have pictures that I've taken, mostly with friends since I've been attempting to be social and hang out with other doll people but I really want to push myself to become a better photographer and not default to what I think is safe which is my standard close up shots. I don't dislike my photography up until now, I just think I am capable of more.

With that though comes the news that Dai will be coming home soon, he was at a friend's getting his face redone so there will be new pictures of his gorgeous self and there will be a new addition coming in about two months :3 So there are good things to look forward to.

And now to sort through all the deviations/messages that have been piling up XD

To do list
- Read Half-blood prince.
- Pay bills for the month.
- Clean dusty wigs.

News

How I've neglected this place -___- I've been unmotivated to take doll pictures mainly because I've felt very exhausted lately. Not for lack of love for my boys because honestly I feel like I've never loved them more as a whole than right now and I feel very at peace with my collection. Of course there will always be a few molds that I want but I have decided to stop at 9, once my final boy gets here. I have no plans to sell any of my boys as I feel it's not necessary; money is tight but they aren't going to be the sacrifices of my debt. Instead I am going to focus on buying small things for each of them, adding bits to their personalities and making them the characters that I have created. If I ever magically end up with more money than I know what to do with I might get some more, but it really just feels like a rather large family now XD

I have gone through my watch list and noticed that a bunch of people have gotten new dolls so that's awesome, I've also noticed that I've gotten more watchers myself and I just want to apologize for my absence and thank everyone that has decided to watch me, it means a lot to me. I should be more active now that work and my life is finally slowing down :)

To do list
- Catch up on sleep.
- Start watching all the movies I'm buying.
- Continue working on stories.

Dir en grey ramblings

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 8, 2008, 1:47 PM

Let your mind wander; it knows how to get home.

News

So I took a little time away from work and dolls and just life to see Dir en grey twice this week, on the 5th and 7th as they started another US tour. It always feels like a gift to be able to see them live, since at one point I never thought I ever would. I've seen them 4 times total now, the first ever was in New York at the beginning of 2006 when they first came to the US and it's still just as amazing as it was then. The first show on the 5th I got very lucky and ended up front row center against the railing which is a great spot to be so you don't have to worry about looking over heads and getting smashed between bodies but it wasn't exactly where I wanted to be so the second show I ended up on Die's side after the fourth try XD I love watching him, he's been my favorite since I got into them about 5 years ago, (though I had a brief spasm over Kaoru) and I still get overwhelmed just by watching his expressions change and his hands as he plays. It was a good night to be on his side since he was much more energetic than the first one and ended up climbing on top of the big speaker and letting people grab at him and his guitar with a giant grin on his face *__* Obviously I'm still on a bit of a high about it.

I already can't wait to see them again, though I am a little happy that I'll have a little break, standing in line and exhausted for three days straight isn't something I can do an a constant basis, I'm a wimp like that.

And now I have to stop neglecting my dolls and start taking more pictures of them again, I have some dusty boys at the moment x__x

To do list
- Pay off the philistine. (halfway there!)
- Sell manga/jrock/kpop that I don't read and/or watch.
- Continue working on stories.
